We plan on making our first trip to Disney World in March 2013. We have 3 kids, so we will have a party of 5. Do we need to book a room at a resort for parties of 5 or more, or can we get a room for 4 people and add a trundle bed?

    Hi Alisa,

Unless your youngest child is small enough to sleep in a pack & play, you should definitely book a room that accommodates five.  Trundle beds are not typically an option you can count on at Disney resorts.

Fortunately, there are some fabulous and affordable options for families of five.  Consider a family suite at Disney's All Star Music or Art of Animation Resorts.  These rooms accommodate up to six guests and offer the added bonus of two full bathrooms.

One bedroom villas at Disney Vacation Club properties are a bit more expensive but the amenities at these deluxe resorts are outstanding.  You will certainly enjoy the full kitchen and private laundry facilities in each of these villas.  Among the various resorts that offer this type of accommodation, Disney's Beach Club Villas and the Villas at Disney Wilderness Lodge are my favorites.

Let us know if you have any additional questions as you make your family's vacation plans.  We'd be happy to help!
