Welcome to planDisney, Tara! The
holiday season is my favorite time of year to be at Walt Disney World Resort, and I usually plan a trip right around the beginning of November just like you are to catch the beginning of the festivities. With that in mind, let's chat about what kinds of yuletide decorations you'll be able to see at
Magic Kingdom Park this November!
Tara, the holiday season officially kicks off on November 9 this year with the first
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of 2023. This is the first day that I would say it's 100% certain that you'll see Magic Kingdom Park fully decorated with the tree lit up at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. That said, you will probably start to see some of the sights and sounds of Christmas a little bit earlier than that. Decorating for the holiday season typically begins as soon as Halloween is over, and it's possible that The Most Magical Place On Earth will go to bed on October 31 with spooky decorations and wake up on November 1 covered in tinsel with festive music playing. These dates are subject to change, but I think if you arrive on November 5, you will see the beginnings of some Christmas decorations starting to pop up at Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope this answers your question, Tara, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
