Hi there, Ahmad!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your fantastic questions. I can see you have already started doing quite a bit of research for your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
The
Disneyland app is such an amazing tool that really will enhance your visit to the parks. This handy little app can let you buy tickets, make dining reservations, see attraction wait times, mobile order food and beverages, locate Characters to meet, and as you mentioned, link your family's park tickets in one place. Although you can link park tickets into the app to scan them at the gate and at select Disney FASTPASS kiosks, I always recommend still carrying your paper tickets with you in the parks. Some FASTPASS distribution kiosks like those for Fantasmic! and World of Color viewing actually do require you to still put your paper ticket in the machine. It's also a good idea to keep paper tickets in case your phone has any technical difficulties. Most of the time I can get away with almost always using the app to enter the park and redeem Disney FASTPASSES, but I still keep my paper ticket in my wallet just in case.
If you would like the ability to make
Disney FASTPASS selections from your mobile device no matter where you are in the parks, you can add the Disney MaxPass feature to your tickets once you enter. Since this is charged per person per day, you can always try it for a day to see how you like it before committing for your entire trip. Once in the park, just select "Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass" to add this feature to the app.
I hope this helps, and I wish you a trip that is practically perfect in every way!
