You've been busy planning your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and the big day is almost here! Late August is such a great time to visit, as you'll still be able to catch the fun of
Cool KIDS' Summer while also enjoying fall festivities like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the start of the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Don't forget that you can also still enjoy
free water park admission on your check-in day through September 8, 2026, when you stay at a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection!
Nicole, I bet your young Padawan is so excited to experience the happy haunts of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! You'll be happy to know that the
costume guidelines for special-ticketed events state that plastic lightsabers can be brought into the party, as long as they are being carried and used safely. It's also important to keep in mind that you may also be asked to stow your lightsaber on select rides and attractions. Additionally, I recommend bringing a bag that's large enough to hold costume accessories, as I've found my own kids like to start handing off pieces of their costume throughout the night - particularly if it's a hot evening! If you need any extra storage during the party,
locker rentals are available at Magic Kingdom Park near the main entrance.
As you're finalizing your plans, I'd suggest checking out the
special character experiences available once the party begins. I don't know about your son, but my toddler would love Stitch's Masquerade Mashup, located in Tomorrowland. It sounds like quite the
SPOOK-tacular celebration with everyone's favorite alien! You can find all the details for this and other party-exclusive entertainment on your party map as well as in the
