If I plan a holiday for September 2028,I receive my points in August, so can i do this ,bank my 2027 points.use my 2028,points ,am I allowed to borrow points from my 2029 use year for the holiday.

Hey there, Barry! Welcome Home, and welcome to the Disney Vacation Club corner of planDisney. I'm always happy to meet a fellow DVC Member and give an assist to plan your next Disney adventure, and geeking out about Vacation Points is easily one of my favorite pastimes!

One of the most appealing aspects of DVC for us when we were thinking about joining was the flexibility built into the program. Being able to bank and borrow Vacation Points makes it possible to have trips with extended family and larger friend groups, or book a longer stay, which is always important for our pals across the pond!

From the information you provided, you should be good to go to use your points from your 2027, 2028, and 2029 Use Years. A September 2028 vacation falls squarely in your 2028 Use Year (August 1, 2028-July 31, 2029), so you should be able to bank points from 2027 and borrow from 2029. This will give you plenty of points to work with, which is a recipe for the Disney vacation of your dreams!

Barry, one important consideration to keep in mind is the banking deadline for those 2027 points. I have the DVC banking chart bookmarked, and I recommend marking the deadline on your calendar to make sure you don't miss it. You can bank and borrow via the Member website, or by calling Member Services. I often prefer to call when I'm dealing with a more complicated transaction to make sure I have all of my (Donald) ducks in a row - the Cast Members can pull up the details of your Membership and have a lot of expertise that can be really helpful!

I hope this information is just what you need for your planning purposes, Barry! It sounds like you'll be ready for an epic 2028 vacation with all of those points at your disposal. If you have any additional questions about this trip or your Membership in general, please come back to planDisney anytime.

    Stay Magical!
