Boo to you, Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with this
frightfully great vacation planning question. I just love chatting Disney with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member!
I squealed with
horror ... I mean, excitement when I heard the news that
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning this year! There is an extra buzz of magic in the air at these events, and it is SO much fun to dress up in your best Disney costume, taste
all the treats, and catch all of the oh-so-fun, special spooktacular entertainment the party has to offer! Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of my Home Resorts and probably my very favorite DVC Resort, especially when there is a special event at Magic Kingdom Park. It is so wonderful and convenient to just stroll back to your home away from home at the end of a long, fun-filled night, avoiding any wait for transportation and gushing about the
ghoulishly great evening. I am SO excited that you will get to have this magical night at The Most Magical Place on Earth before you know it, and I am
thriller ... I mean, thrilled to answer your question today!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event, and as long as you purchase your Party tickets, no other theme park tickets or Theme Park reservations are required to get into the event! If you have your Halloween Party tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account, you can use your typical mode of entry into the theme parks (MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile Pass or card) to enter Magic Kingdom Park for the Party as early as 4:00 p.m. While I am not sure how it will work this year, in the past, you would enter the park using your Party ticket and would then find one of the wristband distribution locations to get your special Party band to wear throughout the event. This wristband would act as your key to the magic ... and CANDY! No tricks; just treats!
Since you have a Resort reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, you can purchase your Halloween Party tickets as early as May 12, 2022, before they go on sale to the general public. And while Member benefits are always subject to change, did you know that DVC Members get $10 off each ticket for select nights?! Now, that is a sprinkle of Membership Magic!
Speaking of Membership Magic, while I do not know if this will be offered this year, in the past, DVC Members were given even earlier access to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties. As I said, this has not been announced as a benefit this year, so it may not be offered, but I am mentioning it so that you can be sure to keep your eye on the
Member Benefits page of the DVC website to see if this Membership perk may be announced as the first Party approaches. You can always just
stop by right before your trip and ask me if anything new has been announced. I will be wishing upon an evening star for extra pixie dust, but if this perk does not
materialize like the 999 Happy Haunts,
rest in peace! You will still have the time of your
afterlife!
Jennifer, I hope this was helpful, and I hope you have a
frightfully fun and fantastic time on your magical vacation and at the Party! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions you may have.
Hurry baaaaaaack,
Mandy
