Plan to go to WDW week of Thanksgiving 2009. There will be 6 adults and 4 children. Want to stay on park property for transportation purposes. Please advise.

    Hi James,

Disney is a wonderful place to call "home" during the Thanksgiving holiday.  Many of the restaurants feature wonderful, specially themed menus to celebrate the occasion.  If you are interested in dining on property, be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

As for where to stay, all of the Disney Resorts will provide your party with free, convenient transportation throughout Disney property.  I would base your decision on your family's preferences and budget.  If your party intends to spend a significant amount of time at the Magic Kingdom, the resorts on the monorail line (Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian) are a great option.  If you plan on visiting Epcot or Hollywood Studios a lot, then the Yacht & Beach Club and Boardwalk are very convenient, as these parks are a walk or short boat ride away.  These are just a few suggestions, however, as resorts in any pricing category (Value, Moderate and Deluxe) all provide guests with free transportation.  In addition to transportation once at Disney, guests flying into Orlando International Airport who stay on site at Disney are eligible for free transportation from the airport to their resort via Disney's Magical Express.  If you are interested in using this service, be sure to tell your reservation agent when you book your stay.

Wherever you chose to stay, have a magical trip!
