We plan to go to Orlando Magic Kingdom to play with our 4 years old twins boys. We plan to purchase lighting lane pass, as I understand each the family member need a Disney experience ac. But they are only 5, how can they use the lighting land pass?

Welcome to planDisney, Andy! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. A trip to Magic Kingdom with your twins sounds like so much fun, and I'm happy to help you figure out how to include them in Lightning Lane and other things that require a My Disney Experience account. Let's jump right in!

Your 4-year-old twins do not need their own My Disney Experience accounts to use Lightning Lane. As parents, you'll manage their profiles from your account, and you can book everything for them right in your own app. Here's how it works in practice: when you book your trip, a profile will be created for your children, or you can create one for them in My Disney Experience. Once their profiles exist and have their tickets linked to them, they'll appear in your "Family & Friends" list. From that point on, when you purchase Lightning Lane, you'll simply select your whole party, including the twins, and pick your return windows. Their plans live under your account, and you control everything with no separate logins needed!

When it's time to ride, each person needs a way to tap in at the attraction entrance. You can use Disney Bands, a physical ticket card, or Disney MagicMobile on your phone's wallet. If you prefer MagicMobile, you can keep everyone's passes on your device and scan them one at a time, which is super easy with little ones in tow.

I also have a few tips to help your trip with small kids run a bit smoother! Make sure to double-check height requirements for the attractions on your must-do list, and use Rider Switch where it's offered. For a successful day, try stacking Lightning Lane return windows around your typical daily rhythm (including naps!) and sprinkle in shorter, kid-friendly attractions near your big headliners. Character meet and greets are perfect for preschoolers, so make sure to have the camera ready!

I hope this answers your question, Andy, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
