We plan to go to Epcot on February 12. That day there are extended hours starting at 9pm. I see the fireworks show starts at 9pm. Are we allowed to stay in the park after 9pm to watch the fireworks if we don't have extended hours tickets?

Hey Howdy Hey Chelsey and welcome to planDisney!

It is super exciting to hear you will be on your Magical vacation very soon! Thank you for stopping by with your question on nighttime shows during your vacation. Not to worry because you've got a friend in me to give you some insight into navigating this situation.

Typically, nighttime fireworks shows such as Luminous The Symphony of Us in EPCOT are towards the end of standard operating hours and sometimes occur when the parks officially close. I am happy to report that you should still have full access to watching this amazing show on the evening you are in EPCOT despite the Exteneded Evening Theme Park Hours starting at that time. You will not be able to experience attractions after official closing time without tapping into them to verify your hotel accommodations, but you should still have full access to experience the show from anywhere around World Showcase.

I'm sure you are almost ready and all set with your plans in EPCOT, but I wanted to give you a couple of recommendations on attractions you will not want to miss. If you or anyone in your party are into thrill rides, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a must! This attraction takes you alongside the Guardians as they save the galaxy once again in a super full and trilling coaster you have never experienced before. Make sure you are familiar with the My Disney Experience app as joining the Virtual Queue as well as Individual Lightning Lanes are the only current way to experience this attraction, not through the standard standby line. The other recently opened attraction is Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. This attraction is so much fun and can be super relaxing at the same time. This is a self-guided walking tour experiencing water as it flows through our environment with the option of being as hands-on as you would like. It is great for midday cool down, but the attraction at night is next-level beautiful!

I hope you have a rootin' tootin' Magical experience on your upcoming trip. Please feel free to stop by with any further questions you may have, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,

    Nick
