Hiya Sydney - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question. As one of Mickey's neighbors, it's great to see that you're taking advantage of some of the
special offers available exclusively for Florida Residents!
While unused and even partially used Theme Park Tickets have historically been
eligible to be upgraded to available Annual Passes, your situation is a bit unique.
The Disney Pixie Dust Pass is available exclusively for Florida Residents and is a great value, but part of what makes this Annual Pass type more affordable is that it includes blockout dates, including weekends and other weekdays around busier holidays.
The wrinkle in your situation is that it sounds like you want to visit a Theme Park on the Saturday of your visit, and if you upgraded your Multi-Day Theme Park Ticket to a Disney Pixie Dust Pass, you would
not be able to use it for admission to a Theme Park on that Saturday, or any other blockout date. Also, if Saturday would be the last day of your Multi-Day Ticket, once you use it to enter a park, that ticket would be fully used and is likely not eligible for upgrading to an Annual Pass that wouldn't be valid to use on that blockout day.
Given the current prices of the Disney Pixie Dust Pass, and the cost of the ticket you currently have, here's what I would personally do if I were in your shoes ...
I suggest upgrading your current ticket to a Disney Pixie Dust Pass now, and also purchase a new 1-Day Theme Park Ticket that you can use on Saturday. This is assuming that the Thursday and Friday you plan to visit are not blocked out for Disney Pixie Dust Passholders. You would use your new Annual Pass for admission on Thursday and Friday, and then use your new 1-Day Theme Park Ticket on Saturday. To save a bit, you might consider skipping the Park Hopper Option on your Saturday ticket and simply making sure you get all of your other must-dos taken care of on Thursday and Friday except for one park!
Of course, this plan really only makes sense if you're likely to use your Disney Pixie Dust Pass in the future. If you are, you'll recoup the expense by visiting just one or two days in the next year. That being said, if you know you're only likely to visit on weekends, or around major holidays that are blocked out, you're better off sticking with Florida Resident Theme Park Tickets instead. You may also want to contact V.I.PASSHOLDER support by calling 407-939-7277 to see if they have any additional details or options before you make a decision.
I hope this makes sense and is helpful, but if not,
please write back to get some clarification!
See ya real soon!
