Hi we plan to go to disney may 2024 and currently in may typhoon lagoon is showing temporarily unavailable so im wondering is it going to be open for when we are there as i know blizzard beach isn't usually so im just a little concerned thanks

Hi Christina! As our friend Dory likes to say, “Keep on swimming. Keep on swimming.” You’re going to get to do that at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park during your visit in May!

Currently, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is available for Guests! The park will remain open for Guests through March 16, 2024. But, hakuna matata, because when that park closes for refurbishment, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will reopen for Guests on March 17, 2024!

As of today, the hours for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park are only posted through April 27, 2024. Additional hours, including for May, will be posted as we get closer to that month. You can use the Disney Parks calendar on the Walt Disney World Resort website to check for hours once they are posted.

You are going to have such a fun day on attractions such as Crush ‘n’ Gusher, Miss Adventure Falls, and Humunga Kowabunga! If you think you might be spending the entire day at the water park, you might want to consider renting a Beachcomber Shack. These private, shaded areas are available for booking now! Beachcomber Shacks can be booked 60 days before your visit! They come with some amenities to make your day extra enjoyable! You’ll receive cushioned seating, towels, a locker, a cooler, cold water served throughout the day, souvenir refillable mugs, as well as a Cast Member who will attend to your needs throughout the day! It’s definitely a “magical extra” to make for a great day at the water park!

    Dreams do come true!
