Disney Genie+ into your plans because Genie is going to make your wishes come true!
If you didn’t add
Genie+ to your park tickets in advance, no worries. You can add it for each individual day you are there. It sounds like you want to use it on your second day. On the day you’d like to add it, once you have entered the park through the turnstile, keep your mobile phone handy and open the
Disneyland mobile app. Go to My Genie Day, Tip Board, and select your first
Lightning Lane. This will prompt you to add Genie+ service to any tickets linked to your account.
Here are some tips that will help you maximize the benefits of Genie+:
~ You can use one Lightning Lane per attraction per day, but you can still use the standby queue if you want to experience it a second time.
~ You can reserve a Lightning Lane for Disney California Park while physically in Disneyland Park and vice versa if you have a Park Hopper ticket.
~ You can cancel Lightning Lanes. For instance, if you book one a few hours out and want to cancel and book something else, you can. You can still rebook that Lightning Lane later that day, as it doesn't count as used.
~ You can book your next Lightning Lane as soon as the previous one is redeemed, or 120 minutes after booking the previous one, whichever comes first. For example, if you book Space Mountain at 9:00 a.m. for a 1:00 p.m. Lightning Lane return time, you can book your next one at 11:00 a.m. even though Space Mountain hasn’t been redeemed yet.
~ Genie+ comes with complimentary access to
Disney PhotoPass which is an awesome perk! You can enjoy unlimited digital downloads of photos taken by the photographers as well as attraction photos.
~ Pack a portable charger – you’ll be using the app a lot during the day and it’s nice to recharge!
