How do I plan a future vacation to Disneyland for 19 people? 9 Adults and 10 children. We want to stay in the park

    Hi there Lori,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! WOW - this sounds like it will be such a fun trip that you're planning! I can also understand how it could feel a bit overwhelming if you're the trip planner. Luckily - you've come to the right place!

The first thing I would land on as a group are the exact dates of your visit. Note that you need both valid theme park tickets and theme park reservations for each day of your visit, so you can double-check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to make sure there are reservations available for the parks you'd like to start each day in. Once you've decided on your dates and length of stay, then go ahead and purchase those tickets!

If everyone in the group is purchasing their own tickets, it might be helpful to get the other group members' ticket information so you can link all of your tickets together into your Disneyland mobile app. This will make things easier when trying to set up reservations for dining and - when you're in the park - it'll be easier to keep track of everyone's tickets and make Lightning Lane selections (if everyone has Disney Genie+ Service, which I highly recommend).

Next, you'll want to determine where you all will stay! It sounds like you want to pick one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort. It's truly difficult to pick a favorite, but my most-often visited is the Disneyland Hotel. It's just so magical and a true original dating back to just three months after the Disneyland Resort first opened.

However, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the epitome of relaxation and is conveniently located with a direct entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. Also, the newly reimagined Pixar Place Hotel looks incredible! All three hotels are very close to the park entrances (or you can ride the Disneyland Monorail from the Downtown Disney District right into Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park). Make sure to check the Hours & Events Calendar closer to your visit to see which parks are available for Early Entry - a benefit of staying in a Disneyland Resort hotel.

My last tip, before running out of space in my answer, is to utilize the My Plans hub! This is one of the most helpful tools that I've found when planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth as it lets you make and manage all of your reservations in one place.

Thanks again for your question, Lori! I hope this helps get the planning started. If you think of any follow-ups then be sure to come back and see us! We'd love to help.

    Have a Magical Day,
