Hi Sarah!
I am so glad to hEAR you are considering planning your first Disney Cruise Line vacation! A cruise with Captain Mickey is so much fun and an opportunity to create some of the most magical memories with your family.
My husband and I have two small boys and have been cruising with them since they were both under one and we have found Disney Cruise Line vacations to be the absolute BEST for our small family. My boys are early to bed (and therefore early to rise…no matter how late we keep them up!), and I completely understand wanting to keep some sense of a schedule while on vacation! Unfortunately, Disney Cruise Line does not offer in-room babysitting, but there are onboard
Youth Clubs that are open in the evening for children to visit. The “it’s a small world” nursery! is reserved for the youngest cruisers (under three) and does have a separate room complete with cribs and cots for little ones to either nap in or rest in the evenings if parents choose to check them in there. For older children there is the Oceaneer Club and Lab where kiddos can be checked into play during the evening hours.
In all honesty, my husband and I find ourselves so tired at the end of the days that we, too, are ready to crash shortly after we put the littles to bed! The onboard staterooms are set up with a dividing curtain that you can separate the sleeping children from the full-sized bed allowing an opportunity to read or plan the following day’s schedule. If there was an
entertainment act, we both want to see we catch the early show and order in Room Service afterwards!
Please come back with additional questions you may have!
