Welcome to planDisney, Wayne!
While every family trip to
Walt Disney World is fantastically fun, those three-generation vacations have made priceless memories for my entire family. Great choice!
First, I have to recommend my all-time favorite location for a multi-generational visit:
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. We booked a stay there to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday and this resort was perfect for so many reasons. Our 3 Bedroom Grand Villa - Savanna View was breathtakingly beautiful, with jaw-dropping, two-story views of the savanna and all of the animals that call it home. Imagine waking up to giraffe grazing just outside your balconies or coming "home" from a day in the parks to see zebras and gazelles frolicking in the fields just outside your window. Samawati Springs Pool and Uwanja Camp are so much fun, your family may decide to spend the entire day there! (We didn't plan to...but we just couldn't leave.)
Kidani Village is cozier than her big sister
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, but with the adjacent location, you get to enjoy additional dining options within a short walk or bus ride.
Another favorite home away from home is the elegant
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The location of this resort right alongside
Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation makes getting to nearby resort dining--or heading "home" after a day at
Magic Kingdom Park--super easy. There's nothing quite like looking out your window to the sight of Space Mountain, Cinderella Castle, and Astro Orbiter. The magic is just steps away.
You can find incredible 3 bedroom villas at all Walt Disney World
Deluxe Villa Resorts with the exception of Disney's Beach Club Villas, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. As such, consider which parks and activities will be your heavy-hitters and consider choosing a resort that's closest to them. Envision multiple visits to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT?
Disney's BoardWalk Villas is within walking distance. Foresee shopping and dining at
Disney Springs? Consider
Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
All of these Deluxe Villa Resorts offer the added benefit of a full kitchen, in-room washer and dryer, multiple bathrooms, separate sleeping areas, as well as multiple televisions. (When a grandparent wants to watch the news before dinner, but the kiddos prefer Mickey Mouse it's a huge plus!) Gathering around the table for post-park snacks, relaxing while introducing the young ones to a card game at night, making fresh popcorn for a three generation family movie night--all are fond memories we've cherished from many large family trips to The Most Magical Place on Earth. You'll cherish yours, too.
As you plan your perfect visit, be sure to send additional questions our way, Wayne. We love to help!
