We would like plan a family trip in early June for the magic kingdom and a water park. We also would like to stay at a Disney resort.

    Hi Marissa,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you asked about planning a family trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. There’s so much to see and do, from exploring four unique theme parks and two incredible water parks to savoring fantastic dining experiences and enjoying the vibrant shopping, dining, and entertainment options at Disney Springs. It’s the perfect destination for creating unforgettable family memories!

Here at planDisney, we can’t book your vacation for you, but we’re here to guide you through the process and help with every decision you’ll need to make. By following these steps, you’ll feel confident and ready to book your magical vacation through the Vacation Planning section of the Walt Disney World website. Let’s get started!

    Accommodations
The Disney Resorts Collection offers a variety of options, ensuring there’s something for every budget and preference. For family-friendly accommodations, I recommend starting with these:

    • Value Resort: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort features spacious Family Suites with two bathrooms and a kitchenette. Plus, its vibrant Disney-themed decor is a hit with kids!
    • Moderate Resort: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has a tropical atmosphere and convenient access to the Disney Skyliner, making traveling to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios a breeze.
    • Deluxe Resort: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a fantastic choice if you want something luxurious. It's a family favorite with large rooms, lush surroundings, and proximity to Magic Kingdom!

    Tickets and Water Parks
Regarding tickets, you’ll need to decide which parks you’d like to visit and how many days you’ll need. A one-park-per-day Ticket is perfect if you want a more relaxed pace, while the Park Hopper Option allows you to visit multiple parks in one day, providing added flexibility.

Since you mentioned wanting to include a water park, you might consider adding the Water Park and Sports Options to your tickets. This allows you to visit Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, offering exciting attractions and plenty of relaxation for the whole family. However, there is a current promotion being offered throughout 2025 for Guests staying in a Disney Resort: free admission to a water park on the day of check-in, so maybe you could entertain arriving early, dropping your bags at your resort, and hitting the water park while you wait for your room!

    Dining and More
For dining, make advanced reservations for any table-service meals you have in mind. Dining with characters is an excellent way to meet beloved Disney friends while enjoying delicious meals.

To maximize your time, take advantage of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass for shorter waits at popular attractions. Also, remember to plan some downtime to relax and recharge.

I hope this puts you on the right path to booking the perfect family getaway to Walt Disney World! If you’d like me to dive deeper into any of the topics above, please don’t hesitate to send another question my way.
