Hi Aselya,
Thank you for dropping by planDisney with a great question! As someone who is always looking for a discount, I understand your question.
Given your dates, I would suggest that you go ahead and book the
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and room type you would prefer. With
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, those dates are popular and resort hotel availability could become limited the closer it gets to the dates of your visit. Currently, it looks like there is still
availability for party tickets during your visit but that availability could change at any moment.
Keep an eye on the
Special Offers because there could be one announced that does apply to the dates of your visit. Although I cannot say definitively that one will be announced, I will say that special offers can be released at different times of the year, so definitely keep checking. If a new offer is released that seems to be applicable to the dates of your visit, know that room availability for Special Offers can be limited and you may not be able to modify an existing reservation to take advantage of a Special Offer. I will also say to always double-check the prices. A Special Offer may not necessarily give you a better rate than the one you have.
If you do find a Special Offer that gives you a better rate than an existing one, you can try to modify that reservation online or
call to speak to a cast member. I would also suggest that you have a list of a few different resort hotels that would work for your group. Then, if a Special Offer is released that does not apply to the resort hotel with your existing reservation, you could potentially cancel the existing reservation and make a new one. Just be sure to check the current
Walt Disney Travel Terms & Conditions for Walt Disney World® Resort to review the cancellation policy.
Aselya, as you consider which resort hotels to prioritize, aside from budget, I recommend that you really take a look at the amenities and transportation options available at each resort hotel. My family always considers the value of time. So, we prefer resort hotels that have multiple
resort transportation options to get us to the theme parks. Even though I realize this is not a definitive answer, I hope it helps in your decision-making. If you do purchase those Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party tickets, remember to also
plan the outfits!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
