Hiya, Samantha, and welcome to planDisney! Oh, boy (or girl)! I'm so excited about your big news. A future Mouseketeer is a dream come true, and I bet you're over the moon. It sounds like you have the perfect vision of your baby's gender reveal at the Happiest Place on Earth, and I love that! Your visit to
Disneyland Resort is just a few weeks away, so let's see how to make your vision a reality.
The balloons I think you're referring to are called glasshouse balloons. They have a clear exterior balloon with a second balloon inside. The iconic Mickey Mouse comes in a rainbow of colors, so I am confident you'll get the balloons you need. It's easy to spot Cast Members selling balloons because they're always under a ginormous cloud of them! If you're planning your reveal at
Disneyland Park, you can typically find balloons on Main Street, USA. I've seen them near Sleeping Beauty Castle, but they can be anywhere since the Cast Members often walk around with them. At
Disney California Adventure Park, balloons can often be seen floating near Carthay Circle.
Samantha, I'd like to suggest some ideas to commemorate your gender reveal.
Disney PhotoPass Service offers a few options. If you plan to experience many attractions, purchasing
Genie+ Service would be your best bet. You get free digital downloads of all Disney PhotoPass photos from that day, plus you'll enjoy shorter wait times on many popular attractions. The other option is to purchase
Disney PhotoPass+ One Day, which will also give you free downloads of all photos taken on the day of your big surprise. And finally, you can find Disney PhotoPass Photographers throughout both parks on your own, and I'm sure they'd be glad to snap some pictures for you. Of course, you would only purchase the ones you want in that case.
I'm sprinkling virtual pixie dust that your upcoming visit will be full of magic, Samantha. How can it not be with the fantastic news you have to share? Feel free to
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
