I want to plan a Disneyland trip for my family of 6 for March 2026. When am I able to start booking hotel and park tickets? I’d like to stay at the Grand Californian. Thank you!

    Hi Charlene,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for trusting us to help with planning your family vacations. It’s never too early to start thinking about your next Disney vacation. As of today, I was able to check availability up until December 31, 2025, for a check-in date, but I was able to look as far as January 8, 2026, for check-out. I recommend getting assistance with booking your hotel in advance by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 956-6425. This number is available from 7 AM to 9 PM daily. A Cast Member will be able to assist with booking your hotel and might be able to provide a more accurate estimate of when bookings for March 2026 will be available.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at all three of the Disneyland Resort hotels, and I can tell you that you can’t beat the proximity of the Grand Californian. Guests staying at any of the three Disneyland Resort hotels have access to Early Entry into the parks. Typically, the parks open at 8:00 AM, but with Early Entry, you can enter at 7:30 AM! Use your special entrance to California Adventure and get a head start on the crowds! Currently, California Adventure has Early Entry on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Check the Park Hours on the app or the Disneyland website closer to your trip for the most up-to-date information and times.

Charlene, I hope this information is helpful. The Grand Californian is about to undergo renovations to their dining, which should be completed by your trip next year, so you’ll have an elevated experience to look forward to. If you have any other questions or need help planning other aspects of your trip, please feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.

    Best of luck planning!
