Hi Maria,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel. And hello to a fellow NJ Disney fan!
Christmas is especially magical at Walt Disney World, and planning for that holiday vacation is just as merry. A few years ago, we hosted a family gathering for 9 during Christmas week. It remains one of my cherished Disney vacations.
Here are a few ideas from my own experience that can help you plan a budget-friendly vacation.
First, think about what accommodations best fit your group. For example, a value resort like
Art of Animation offers family suites that accommodate 6 guests and standard rooms that accommodate 4 guests. The comfortable suites are themed around animation classics like Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo.
Next, think about how best to dine each day. My family often eats breakfast in our room, packs a picnic for park days, and plans one
Disney Dining experience to savor. You can also check out the
Dining Plans as an option.
Keep in mind that there are plentiful activities, recreation, and entertainment options at the resorts themselves. The holiday décor at the
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa makes for a must-see during our holiday trips. I just visited last month and I can still smell the
gingerbread as I type this.
Maria, here’s to your holiday wishes in advance and may they all come true!
Jerry
