How do I plan our Disney world trip when I don’t know how far it is from one venue to the other we want to go to Hollywood and have light saber fights with chewy or Darth Vader and also go to Epcot how far is the distance to walk from one to the other

    Hi Diane,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's great that you're planning your Walt Disney World vacation! With more than 30 Disney Resort hotels, 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, Disney Springs, and other recreation and fun, there is so much to see and do and experience. How best to plan to take it all in? You ask a great question, Diane.

My first suggestion is to check out the online interactive maps to get a great overview of Walt Disney World and where everything is located. You can zoom in the map and move around the map. You can can even see, for example that you can walk a path along the water from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Epcot, so you can enjoy the 2-mile walk from Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple to Soarin' Around the World.

In addition to the online interactive maps, the best guide to finding your way around all of Walt Disney World is the My Disney Experience Mobile App and its GPS-enabled step-by-step directions. Simply tap and select an attraction or location on the map and tap "Get Directions" and enter your location — a Resort hotel, another theme park, or another Walt Disney World location — and you will see step-by-step directions to follow.

So grab your most comfortable and most magical shoes, Diane, you have a whole Walt Disney World to explore.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
