    Hi, we plan on a Disney vacation at the end of august, when should I book? When do the special offers usually come out for then and should I wait for the offer?

    Hi Rebecca!

    If you have your heart set on a specific property and view (such as a Magic Kingdom view room at the Polynesian) then I recommend booking now.  If a discount comes out, you can always call Disney and try to have it applied to your reservation; not all discounts are applicable.

    With regards to what discounts might be released and when, I suggest visiting the independent website MouseSavers.com.  There you can find a database of historical discounts released for Walt Disney World; basically what the discount provided and when it was released.  If you use Google with the search string "Mouse Savers Historical Walt Disney World Discounts" it should take you right there.

    Just remember that if any discounts do come out, you do have to call and have it applied to your reservation.  Disney won't apply any discounts automatically.  Also, remember that there is no guarantee that Disney will release any discounts.  Basically, Disney releases discounts in an attempt to increase the occupancy rate in Disney owned and operated hotels.
