I would like to plan a Disney vacation with a cruise and a stay at the parks. We have 2 small dogs which we would like to bring along and keep at a Disney kennel while at the parks. What arrangements can we make for our dogs while on cruise? Inexpensive?

    Hi, Carmen!

Best Friends Pet Care is located at the Walt Disney World Resort (on Bonnet Creek Parkway). For varying fees, they offer accommodations, amenities, activities and even grooming for your furry friends. And, you can call (877) 4 WDW-PETS for more information and to make reservations.

We usually board our dog before we leave home for vacation, or friends or family take care of her while we're away. Therefore, I don't have experience bringing our dog and boarding her near where we travel. I'm sure that there are kennels and veterinarians in the Orlando or Port Canaveral areas which offer boarding which may be less expensive. However, I would completely feel comfortable leaving my dog in the care of Best Friends Pet Care at WDW while away on a cruise. In addition, your vet at home may be able to provide you with a recommendation for the time you're away on the cruise.

I hope this gives you an idea of how to plan for the care of your dogs, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
