We want to plan a Disney Christmas for 15-20 family members.(kids and adults) I think working with a cast member that can help advise me about hotel and park reservations and tickets, as well as tour guide information would be best. Easiest way to do this?

    Hi Cathy,

Thanks so much for visiting planDisney! There’s nothing quite as magical as Christmas time at Disneyland. Main Street, U.S.A. shimmers with holiday decor, the smell of gingerbread fills the air, and every twinkling light feels like it came straight from Santa's workshop. Add a large family vacation into the mix, and it sounds like you’re creating a core memory that will last a lifetime!

I’m delighted to help you begin exploring a vacation package for your family’s holiday gathering in The Happiest Place on Earth. If you want to book 10 or more rooms, you should book your vacation through Disney Group Getaways. If you are thinking of booking fewer rooms, you can contact the Walt Disney Travel Company to help with your reservations. They specialize in helping large parties and can assist with reserving rooms and securing park tickets. You can reach them at (714) 956-6425, available daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

All three Disneyland Resort Hotels offer larger 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom connecting suites, and even Grand Villas—perfect for a family of your size. Just imagine winding down your day together with views of the park’s holiday lights and the sound of giggles as little ones drift off to sleep. It’s like something out of a Disney holiday storybook.

For an extra magical touch, consider adding a guided tour! Disneyland offers delightful shorter experiences, such as the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour and seasonal favorites like Holiday Time at the Disneyland Resort Guided Tour. While these aren’t typically private, your group might just have a semi-private experience due to its size. I haven’t taken one yet (it’s high on my Disney Bucket List!), but many guests rave about them.

If you’re dreaming bigger, you might want to consider booking a VIP Tour. These tours are led by your very own Disney expert and tailored just for your group. Your guide will sprinkle in park history, fun facts, and assist with Lightning Lane access (subject to availability), plus help secure dining and premium seating for nighttime spectaculars like World of Color, fireworks, and parades. Keep in mind, VIP Tours last between 7 to 10 hours and are limited to 10 Guests per guide, so your family may need to divide into two groups. To learn more, you can email DisneylandVIPTours@disney.com or call (714) 300-7710.

Before I wrap up, I recommend you build the excitement for your trip by creating a countdown calendar. My fellow panelist, Jenn, even shared tips on creating a countdown calendar for kids. Use it as inspiration to get your own family ready for the Holiday fun!

I hope this info was helpful, Cathy! If you have any more questions or need additional tips, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to help sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney adventure, especially at the most magical time of year.

Wishing you the merriest and most magical Christmas adventure!
