How do you plan a dinner reservation two months in advance ? Do you know places that have kid friendly menu? A place were they can see characters? i have picky eaters.

    Hi Natasha,

This is such a great question. As the person who plans all of the family meals at home and on vacation, I love having a few set plans so I can really enjoy some quality time in the parks.

What I recommend and what my family does, is to choose a few fun restaurants and make those reservations as early as possible. We typically try to reserve at least one Character meal, a nice dinner, and maybe one or two other meals in advance. That way, I know we have a few plans, but we can be flexible with the rest of our time. Some days we may eat something simple in the hotel room and other times, we just want a hot dog as we watch a parade so we don't want our days to be totally booked.

I have picky eaters too and one thing that works for us is to make sure our Character meals are during breakfast. These are typically buffets and have so many options including eggs, cereal, fruit and of course, Mickey waffles!

The great thing about making dining reservations is that you are free to change or cancel them up to 24 hours before your reservation time. And remember, there are many quick service options where no reservation is required.

Finally, I always check out the dining options in each park and read the menus online to make sure there will be something for everyone. Each restaurant page has a link to view the menu but beware, this might make you hungry!

I think you'll find that a little bit of legwork now will set you up for some awesome days and delicious meals! Wishing you a magical vacation, Natasha! Thanks for stopping by.
