How do you plan your diners with the dining plan? Do you plan them around what park you are at that day? can you also suggest a good restaurant for my daughters birthday? The day we arrive it is her birthday. I booked the fireworks on the boat for 630pm.

Fireworks! A magical dinner! Walt Disney World! What could be a better way to celebrate a birthday?

Planning your dining reservations around your park schedule is an excellent method. My children love the Yak and Yeti so we always try to book lunch at this Asian oriented spot on our day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. If you absolutely must try the new Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom or want to enjoy a perfectly prepared steak at Epcot's Le Cellier Steakhouse, you might want to book a table first and base your park day on your much coveted reservation.

Several factors need to be considered in picking out a fabulous restaurant for your daughter's birthday celebration. The first is time. Traveling between resorts and parks can take a while, so you will need to make quite an early dinner reservation to be able to show up on time for your fireworks cruise. If you have an afternoon arrival you might not have the time to enjoy a leisurely sit down dinner. Another consideration is park tickets. Restaurants located inside a theme park require park admission. If you have a fireworks cruise in the evening and a midday arrival, you would not want to burn a ticket simply to eat one meal. Because of these factors you might want to consider a birthday blow out meal on another day.  Also how old is your daughter? Is she princess-obsessed four or a sophisticated 16?

If your daughter is a fan of Disney princesses, consider a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table located inside the castle. The fairytale setting, the opportunity to hug and snap pictures with Disney princesses, and be treated like royalty makes for the perfect birthday meal.

Melissa, if you contact me again with your daughter's age, your arrival time and resort, and if you want to have a birthday dinner in the parks or out, I can offer you additional assistance in picking the perfect spot for your celebration.
