Ahoy, Brandon!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’ve assembled quite the Incredibles-sized crew for your adventure. Planning for a large group can feel a little like wrangling hyenas in the Elephant Graveyard, but no worries—you’re already making waves in the right direction!
First things first: staterooms. Most non-Concierge staterooms hold 3–5 Guests, depending on the category, while the top-tier Concierge suites can sleep up to 8 Guests. Just remember that Disney won’t allow you to exceed maximum occupancy, even if one of your sailors is an infant. Once you know how many staterooms you need, which ship, and category you’d like, and your dates, you’ll be able to see pricing on the Disney Cruise Line website. If you
need more than 4 staterooms, you’ll want to call Disney Cruise Line directly, book multiple reservations online, or book through your travel agent (if using one).
Now let’s talk treasure—payments! While Disney doesn’t offer a traditional monthly plan, they do provide a flexible “
Pay at Your Own Pace” system. After placing your deposit (generally 10% of your cruise fare, though it can vary with promotions), you can make payments whenever it fits your budget—monthly, weekly, or in bigger chunks. Just be sure you’re paid in full by your deadline: usually 90 days before sailing for trips up to 5 nights, and 120 days before sailings of 6 nights or longer.
As for “extras,” here’s the scoop:
soda is included with your cruise fare (grab it at the pool deck beverage stations, Cabanas or Marceline Market, or in the dining rooms). Alcohol packages aren’t currently offered, but you can
bring a small amount onboard (restrictions apply) or order wine or beer to your stateroom through
Onboard Gifts (after booking). Of course, you can also visit one of the many lounges onboard for your beverage needs. Don’t forget to try the “Drink of the Day,” available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions at a discounted price.
When it comes to
Port Adventures, you’ll find options as magical as Belle’s library. Once your
booking window opens (based on your Castaway Club level), you’ll see pricing and availability through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Adventures are charged to your onboard account and paid at the end of your sailing. Whether your crew wants to zip-line through a rainforest or kick back at Castaway Cay, you’ll find something that suits every traveler’s dream.
I hope this
helps chart your course, Brandon. With a group as big as yours, you’ll create a treasure chest of memories together, and the planning will feel like just the prologue—the real story begins the moment you hear the ship’s horn play “When You Wish Upon a Star.”
Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
Dustin
