Hey there Victoria,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question. I can't think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than a trip to the Disneyland Resort!
To enter one of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and
theme park reservations for each day of your visit. You can purchase theme park tickets pretty much any time since the expiration window for them is quite far away. For example, If purchased today, your tickets wouldn't expire until December 30, 2025!
Theme park reservations are available about six months in advance, so those are also currently available for the dates of your trip. That means you're good to book your Disneyland Resort vacation now!
I would recommend purchasing your tickets through the
Disneyland Resort website, and then you'll be able to select the Park Hopper option and make your theme park reservations as part of the purchase process.
I'm also a huge proponent of purchasing the
Disney Genie+ service as well, since it gives you access to book
Lightning Lane return times and
unlimited digital downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos that you take during your trip. You have the option of adding this service at the time of ticket purchase or after you first enter a park during your trip.
For
celebrating a birthday, make sure you grab a complimentary birthday pin when you arrive! This is a great way to add a little extra magic throughout your trip.
Thanks again for your question, Victoria! We'd love to help you plan your best trip ever to the Happiest Place on Earth, so make sure to come back and visit us here at planDisney with any follow-ups you think of as you continue to organize your vacation details.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
