We plan on coming to Disney for the first time from Dec. 27-Jan6, although we have not booked yet. During this time one of my sons will be turning 5! and I will also be celebrating my birthday. I'm just wondering what suggestions you have for us? Thanks!

    Hi Candice!

Be sure to get First Time Visitor and Birthday buttons from Guest Services at any of the theme parks. They will alert Cast Members that you are celebrating multiple special occasions!  They can really add a touch of magic depending on the Cast Member!

I recommend having a special meal to celebrate!  You are going during a busy time at Walt Disney World, so be sure to make an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR)!  ADRs can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  They are critical if you want to enjoy one of the Table Service (full service) restaurants at Walt Disney World as they are very popular!

Since it is your first time, I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information, but is not overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you lots of tips and give you a good idea of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Enjoy your first visit and write back if you have any more questions!
