Hi there, Mary!
One of the best parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and the reason that we keep coming back over and over again is that there is so much to do outside of the theme parks. Your trip sounds practically perfect and the
Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are a wonderful place for "homebase" to your visit.
First, let's start with the
many activities and experiences you'll find at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. From trail rides to arts and crafts, this Disney Resort offers all those traditional "summer camp" fun. There's archery, canoe rentals, fishing, bike rentals, sports and more. You can visit Cinderella's Ponies at the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch or visit the pool for a relaxing sun-filled afternoon. Your adventure-packed day will be complete with
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long!As, for your question...absolutely! Disney's complimentary
resort transportation is for all Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort. I highly recommend enjoying as many methods as possible during your visit. From the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, you can take the
water transportation to Magic Kingdom Park and then from there you can use the
Disney Monorail to check out the monorail resorts: Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I also suggest taking a
Disney bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios where you can hop aboard the
Disney Skyliner and visit the resorts serviced by it. There are so many possibilities and each resort offers a unique charm and delicious dining locations.
Have a wonderful trip, Mary! Thank you for visiting planDisney and please let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist you with.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
