I plan on buying 5 tickets to Disney my family however I’m unsure how the ticket options work. I want to visit 2 parks so does that mean i have to buy a total of 10 tickets(5 for each day) for two days? Or can i buy 5 tickets and visit 2 parks in one day

Hi, Christina! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by to see us with your question. Let's help you get those tickets to the magic!

When it comes to buying tickets to the theme parks of the Walt Disney World Resort, you're just buying one ticket per person and specifying the number of days you'll be visiting the parks, and then adding the option to park hop if you like. To visit two theme parks, you can choose to purchase 2-Day tickets and hit one park each day, or purchase a 1-Day ticket with the Park Hopper Option added. That part is up to you.

Head over to the Tickets page on the Walt Disney World website with me and we'll break it down:

     - Select "Standard Theme Park Ticket."
     - Select the number of days you want to visit.
     - Click on "Park Hopper Option" to go to more than one park in a single day. (You only need this option if you visit two parks in one day.)
     - Choose the start date for your tickets on the calendar.
     - Scroll down to select the number of tickets you need (the number of people in your party).

That will give you a total cost for your tickets. Hit "Continue" to complete your transaction, and you've got tickets!

There's one more important thing you need to do, Christina. All Guests must make a reservation before visiting the parks, so let's get on that next. If you don't already have one, go ahead and create a free My Disney Experience account and link your tickets to it. Then, hop over to the Disney Park Pass page and follow the prompts to make reservations for each person in your party at the first park you plan to visit (you won't need one for the second park if you're hopping later in the day).

Now that you have tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations, you're all set! I know it might seem a little overwhelming, so if you still have questions, you can call Guest Relations and have a Cast Member walk you through the whole process. And of course, you can always ask another question right here at planDisney. We love to help other Guests plan amazing vacations!

I hope you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World, Christina, and we'll see ya real soon!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
