Hey Howdy Hey Payal and welcome to planDisney!
Any trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is Magical, but it does take quite a bit of planning for the Magic to be realized! Disney is fully aware that many people do plan quite some time in advance and considering life happens and plans change, they are good about letting Guests modify their plans in most cases. When it comes to
theme park tickets, these are a little particular so let's go over your options if you would need to reschedule a trip.
Payal, if you were to purchase tickets only, this purchase does not allow for refunds. That in mind, that if you have unused theme park tickets, Disney will typically honor the amount paid to the purchase of new tickets. Tickets are date-based which means they vary from park to park and from date to date. You may find that if you exercise this option, they may or may not cover the full amount depending on when you want to visit the parks in the future. You will be responsible for the difference if there is one.
When it comes to
ticket expiration dates, this would depend on the number of days purchased. A 1-day theme park ticket will only be good for that day. A 2-day ticket will have a validation period of 4 days from the start date, a 3-day ticket will have a validation period of 5 days from the start date and so on.
If you do need to reschedule your trip and rebook your tickets, the best way to modify the dates as noted above would be to
call Disney. A Cast Member would be happy to walk you through the process for your new tickets and get you all set up.
I hope this information was helpful so you can better understand your options when it comes to theme park ticket modifications. If you have any other questions let us know, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
