Hi there! I plan to buy 5 of the 3 day Southern California park hoppers for my family for Christmas. It’s making me choose reservations days at purchase, but can those days be changed later since I’m not sure when they’d like to go?

Hi there, Margaret! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! What a wonderful Christmas gift you’re planning for your family—those future park memories are going to be so special!

The great news is that yes, you can absolutely change your theme park reservation dates after you purchase tickets through the California Resident 3-Day Park Hopper special offer. While the system does require you to select initial reservation dates at checkout, those dates are fully flexible and can be modified later, as long as reservations are still available for your new preferred dates. Just be sure to keep in mind that these promotional tickets must be used by May 21, 2026.

Another nice bonus is that your three park days do not have to be used consecutively, which adds a lot of flexibility. For example, your family could visit in the early spring to enjoy the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival and then return in late April to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. Since the California resident offer is likely to be popular, it’s a great idea to book your best-guess reservations as soon as possible. As May 2026 gets closer, I’d imagine many Guests will be looking to lock in those last remaining dates, and availability is always subject to change.

Once your tickets are purchased, updating your reservations is quick and easy. On the Disneyland Resort website, you’ll visit the theme park reservations page and click “Make or Modify Park Reservations.” If you’re using the Disneyland mobile app, simply tap the blue plus (+) sign at the bottom of the screen, select “Make a Park Reservation,” then choose “Make or Modify Park Reservations.” From there, you’ll select the ticket(s) you’d like to change and follow a few simple steps to complete the update—it truly only takes a moment.

And since flexibility is clearly top of mind, Margaret, you’ll love knowing that the newly released 2026 event calendar is already packed with exciting offerings during your ticket window. From the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration to Lunar New Year, and even special appearances by Bluey and Bingo from the beloved series Bluey in the spring, there will be no shortage of magical reasons to choose your dates.

Margaret, I hope this helps you plan with confidence, and that your family’s 2026 is filled with unforgettable visits, delicious festival treats, and so many joyful moments together.

    See ya real soon!
