Do you plan on brining back the teriyaki turkey leg featured during 2023 lunar new year?

Hi Kegan! Welcome to planDisney. I recently got back from a trip to the parks, and Lunar New Year was in full swing. California Adventure was bustling with people lining up for snacks and sips from this exciting celebration as we welcome the Year of the Horse. I’d love to dive into this year’s menu and share my family’s faves from our most recent visit.

As I was scanning the 2026 Lunar New Year Foodie Guide over on the Disney Parks Blog, I didn’t see any mention of a teriyaki turkey leg. My fingers are crossed for you that it makes a return next year. However, there are so many delicious bites this year. My family and I picked up a Sip and Savor Pass as a way to sample all the treats. We shared everything family-style so we could tackle as much of the Foodie Guide as possible.

If you’re on the hunt for something similar to the turkey leg, meat-wise, the Spicy Chicken Wings would be my top pick. They were a favorite among my family, and the texture was great with the crunch from the sesame and seaweed coating on the outside. Along those same lines, we really enjoyed the Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken, which had a nice, mild kick to the overall flavor. You can pair these with a side of Garlic Noodles, which, if you’re a garlic lover, were absolutely delicious with slivers of garlic scattered throughout.

If you like Vietnamese phở, then you should definitely order the Phở Dip. I had a bite, and it was almost a cross between a bowl of phở and a French dip. The rice noodles tucked inside the bread, along with the beef, were unexpected but delightful. Dipping it into a savory bowl of phở broth, combined with the pickled crunch of the onions, made for a true flavor explosion. I’m getting hungry just describing it! Don’t forget to wash it all down with a Soju Cocktail Flight before you head to your next attraction!

While taking part in all the festivities, be sure to catch Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, live music, calligraphy, and so much more. My pal Corey visited recently and shared all his tips over on planDisney’s Instagram profile page, including character meet-and-greets and the best spots to watch Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession.

Kegan, thank you so much for visiting planDisney. I’m hoping they bring back that teriyaki turkey leg for you at a future Lunar New Year celebration. In the meantime, I hope you are able to sample all that the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival has to offer. It truly is a foodie’s dream come true. If you have any more questions, please feel free to reach out again at planDisney.
