I plan on bringing my own electric wheelchair to Disney World and am staying on site for seven days. Are there places in the parks to plug it in to re-charge the battery while I'm out of my hotel for the day?

Hi Karen! There are places in each of the four parks and Downtown Disney where you can recharge your electric scooter chairs. It is best to ask either at Guest Relations when you arrive as to their location or the cast members who are situated in the wheel chair and stroller stations at the front of the parks. They can advise you and even mark the locations on a park map making it easy for you.

The big news is at the Magic Kingdom where they have just built a recharging station next to the new Tangled bathrooms in Fantasyland. I am not sure if they can be used for electric scooters but there are plugs there for iphones and iPad charging.

Cast members will be more then happy to help and assist you with your questions. Please know the hours your chair can operate on the battery charge so you can plan ahead and not run out of juice a distance from the nearest charging station. The scooters are heavy so you don't want to have to push!
