    We plan on booking a Disney resort for our daughter’s birthday. Check in won’t be until the afternoon but can we enter the park earlier that day since we’ll be staying at a Disney resort?

    Hello Maria!

    Welcome to planDisney! Happy birthday to your little one! Celebrating her birthday in Walt Disney World Resort is the best idea and I love that you want to jump right into the fun on your first day! 

    I have good news as theme park tickets will allow you into the Parks on your check-in day at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel! If you wish to use Early Theme Park Entry you can also do that as well. I suggest that you do Online Check-In before you arrive so that everything is nicely linked up. When you do Online Check-In you will be able to use Direct-to-Room Service and have a better chance of having your room ready earlier and heading straight to your room when it is. All the information will be texted to you and shown on the My Disney Experience App. It's so convenient! 

    Make sure to leave your bags with Bell Services who can hold them for you until you are ready to head to your room. They can also deliver them to your room for a nominal cost. Bell Services Cast Members can accept gratuities so keep that in mind if excellent service is provided. Don't forget to ask for a free "Happy Birthday!" pin from the front desk or at the Resort gift shop. Your daughter needs to let everyone know she's celebrating something special.
