The plan is to bookend a cruise with a night at Disney. On the first day, we will enjoy the resort and Disney experience - no park. What resort - PO-Riverside or Saratoga would be better for an 11, 10 and 7yo boy to waste the day at?

    Hello Tricia,

Your plan sounds like a great one. I love spending time at the resort to just chill and relax to either unwind at the end of our trip or to take a day to decompress from travel before the real fun begins in the parks.

I personally love Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort. It is actually my favorite moderate resort and one of the reasons is the pool area, Ol' Man Island. Not only can you swim and have fun in the swimmin' hole, but there is an opportunity to fish (catch and release) in an old fashioned fishin' hole complete with a cane pole. There is also tons of activities to enjoy around the resort including surrey bike rentals, campfire with sing-a-long and s'mores, as well as the Bayou Pirate Adventure. To me, this sounds like the perfect place for boys to be boys and have a blast in and around the resort!

I hope you have a wonderful vacation.
