I want to plan and book a trip for the end of October 2015 is there a way to do this, the calendar doesn’t extend that far.

Hey Howdy Hey Amber and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question on resort availability. I will be happy to give you a little more information on timeline expectations for booking your vacation package as this has changed in the last few years.

In the past, there was a booking rule of 499 days where you were able to call and book your room-only reservation and then upgrade to a vacation package once these options were available. In recent years, Disney has changed this process and now only has availability based on what is reflected online no matter if you call or not. Disney does try to update these availability dates fairly far out and recently has opened up availability for vacation packages through the rest of the 2024 year. I would log back on and try to plug in your travel dates again to check on availability.

You will be visiting Walt Disney World at a very special time of the year. You will be able to experience the resorts in the fall, which are amazing with special decor for the season, as well as have the opportunity to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom. There are usually so many fun things to plan to experience in the fall so make sure to keep up with Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest updates on experiences and offerings throughout the resort!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your upcoming trip. Please feel free to stop back with any further questions you may have, we are always happy to help!

    Happy Planning,
