Dear Kisha,
Thank you so much for bringing us your question to the
Disney Parks Moms Panel! You have come to the right place! Your boy is turning too and such an event deserves a wonderful celebration!
As you know, Kisha, there is simply no better place in the entire world for a little one to celebrate their birthday than the
Walt Disney World. If you are on a budget, you may still be able to consider some of the hotels in the area.
Staying on property has so many benefits, such as Disney's complimentary transportation to the parks, and Disney's Magical Express, which gives a free ride from the airport to your hotel and vice-versa, that you might want to really think about the savings you will make by staying on site, unlike popular belief.
The first thing you need to do as you enter the parks is to stop by Guest Relations to get him a celebratory pin (if staying in a Disney Hotel, you can get these at the lobby). Make sure he wears his "Happy Birthday" button at all times. Not only will other guests kindly greet him but Cast Members and Characters will also acknowledge him, and if dining at a t
able-service restaurant, your server will sing the traditional Happy Birthday song for other diners to join in and he/she will most likely bring a card signed by the characters and a cupcake for your son to blow out the candles.
A really special way to celebrate his day is to reserve
a character meal where your son can enjoy not only a delicious buffet or family style meal but a close encounter with his favorite characters for a photograph and autographs! Some great options are
Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, where he will be able to meet Winnie The Pooh and his friends or
Chef Mickey's at
Disney's Contemporary Resort, where he will be received by Mickey and pals.
Kisha, there are plenty of character
experiences at the Parks. Also, be sure to have him ride classics for little ones such as Dumbo The Flying Elephant, "it's a small world", The Barnstormer, etc. and other wonderful attractions for
preschoolers.
I hope these ideas are helpful, and if you have another doubt, please come back with more and more questions. We love to help out!
See ya real soon!
