Hi Trula,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending us your question! I am so happy that you will get to experience
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this year, I am positive you will love it!
Tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are considered Special Event Tickets so if you are only planning on visiting Magic Kingdom during the party hours, then no you do not require a regular Theme Park Ticket in addition to your Ticket to Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party. Technically the Special Event begins at 7:00 pm, however guests have been able to enter Magic Kingdom Park with a Special Event Ticket as early as 4:00 pm. Please keep in mind that the actual Party does not begin until 7:00, and admission is always subject to change.
On the other hand, if you would like to enter into Magic Kingdom Park or another Theme Park prior to the beginning of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you will need to purchase another Theme Park Ticket or add an extra day to your Multi-Day Theme Park Ticket. When my family and I attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, we like to spend the morning relaxing by the Resort Hotel pool, so that we are ready for a full night of fun in Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope you enjoy Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Trula. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
Stephanie
