Hello, Ashley,
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite memories with my family. We have always had so much fun at the party with all the different things happening during the evening. In addition to Trick-or-Treating throughout all of the Magic Kingdom, there is a special Halloween-themed parade and fireworks as well as a new event called
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. Nearly all of the attractions are open during the evening as well as many restaurants. There are also many characters, some even in costume, available for guests to meet.
Many guests, both adults and children, will be in costume. In fact, many families have costumes with a theme. For example, my family went once as Peter Pan characters. There are also guests who won't be in costume. The year we just wore Halloween t-shirts we had just as much fun as when we were in costume. If you do opt for costumes, please keep in mind that you'll still be walking a lot and enjoying attractions so you'll want a costume that works well to get in and out of attractions. Walt Disney World does also ask that for the safest and best possible Guest experience, costumes should not be obstructive or offensive.
