I plan to attend the fireworks dessert party at Magic Kingdom in early January 2020. Any guidance on choosing between the regular party (dessert before) or the after fireworks dessert party?

    Hi Rachel,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

I’ve attended both the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing and the Magic Kingdom After-Fireworks Dessert Party. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either choice - they truly are my preferred way to experience Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park.

That being said, I have a slight preference for the “after” party because I prefer ending my night on a “sweet” note, without having to worry about rushing to the viewing area to get a perfect view of the show. Depending on the Park Hours for that day, the post-fireworks party also allows a fair bit of the crowd to dissipate after the show, which can reduce the lines for several Disney Resort Transportation options, if you’re staying at a Disney Resort Hotel.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
