I plan to apply for Disney DAS for my special needs kiddo. I read that he has to be present during the questions, but I was curious if parents are allowed to answer some of the questions. My kiddo is still young and cant always advocate for himself.

Hi Mary, and welcome to planDisney!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is on the horizon; congratulations! This is a perfect time to visit, especially with the addition of the newest attraction at Magic Kingdom Park, TRON Lightcycle / Run, which you will find to be an incredible experience.

If deemed eligible for the Disability Access Service (DAS), your child must be introduced on the video call, and a photo will be taken of them. Because your child is under 18, you, as their parent/guardian, will need to be present to participate in the virtual registration process, so you can ask the cast member any questions you may have. You can preregister from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST, and there are two ways you can register for DAS: (1) pre-arrival via live video chat or (2) on-site at Guest Relations.

Before you start the process, be sure to include everyone in your travel party on your Family & Friends List and ensure their theme park tickets are assigned.

We are here if you have additional questions prior to your arrival.

    Have a magical experience!
