Hello, we plan on going to AK in the morning, having lunch and then going to DHS. I was wondering if we could park at AK and then when we leave take a bus to DHS, would we still be able to get our rental car even though the AK is closed. Thanks!

    Hi Elieen,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Let's get right to it.

Complimentary Resort Transportation is available approximately 45 minutes before Theme Park opening and until one hour after a Theme Park closes. Also, when you bring your own car, and are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can park free of charge at all Theme Parks. If you are not staying onsite, you want to know that the parking fee is valid for the whole day and on all Theme Parks. Make sure you save your receipt and show it to the booth attendant.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park has some new exciting nighttime experiences, including Rivers of Light, which will open this coming summer, so the park will remain open after dark. Still, I would suggest that you drive your car to Disney's Hollywood Studios, in order to avoid having to come back to get it. I know that after a long day at the parks, I want to go back and relax to my Resort hotel.

In the event that the Theme Park closes earlier and the buses stop running, you could take a taxi, or other options such as Uber.

    Happy planning!

    Ricardo.
