I am plaining my family's 1st Disney trip.My 6 year old son can not have gluten and we have the Disney Dinning plan and i am trying to find a nice place he may like to eat that is a quick snack or a snack credit in the EPCOT does anyone have an idea

Welcome to planDisney Samantha! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question. How exciting that you’re planning your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your family. With the Disney Dining Plan included in your stay, you’ll have so many opportunities to enjoy delicious snacks and meals together. Since your son needs to avoid gluten, let’s explore some snack credit options at EPCOT that he may enjoy so everyone can savor the magic worry free.

EPCOT is one of the best parks for food allergies, and Disney does a great job with gluten free dining. Since you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, there are several snack credit options your son can enjoy that are gluten free.

For something sweet, you’ll find fresh fruit and popcorn carts throughout the park, both safe and simple. Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars and Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches are gluten free as well, and are usually a hit with kids. At Kabuki Cafe, the shaved ice treat called Kakigōri is naturally gluten free, and Dole Whip is sometimes available at EPCOT, which is always gluten free.

If your son prefers something savory, many quick service locations like Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion can prepare gluten free chicken tenders and fries upon request. Popcorn is another savory choice that works well as a snack credit, and Canada’s pavilion offers maple flavored popcorn that kids often love. Nachos with cheese are available at some stands too, though you’ll want to confirm the chips are gluten free before ordering.

The World Showcase also has some unique gluten free treats. France often has macarons, which are naturally gluten free, and Norway’s bakery can sometimes provide a gluten free dessert alternative if you ask to see the allergy friendly menu.

A good tip is to always ask for the allergy menu at snack stands or bakeries. Cast Members are used to accommodating gluten free needs and will help guide you to safe options.

Samantha, I hope this gives you a great starting point for finding tasty gluten free snack options your son will love during your visit to EPCOT. Thank you so much for bringing your question to planDisney, and I’m wishing your family a first visit filled with delicious treats, magical memories, and all the joy that comes with experiencing The Most Magical Place together!
