we are plaing a vacation for 4-09. really torn between BC and CB should we step up for the delux resort. we know that CB has been redone and the pirates room would be cool for our 10 & 6 boys. is $1000 more worth it?

    Hi Cathy,

I can understand being torn between two resorts!  If it is within your budget, I would definitely say that the Beach Club Resort is worth the extra cost.  Although the pool is one of the highlights for the kids, one of the best things from a parents perspective is the transportation.  Having the ability to walk to Epcot (five minute walk) and take a quick boat ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios are what makes this a desirable resort for me.  I'll be honest and stay that I'm not a huge fan of crowded busses, so having these options is really nice. I'll also mention that having the Boardwalk within walking distance is another great benefit of staying at the Beach Club Resort, the dining, nightlife and street performers are a great way to have a little fun away from the parks.

You didn't mention when in April you plan on visiting, but please be advised that Stormalong Bay (the feature pool at the Beach Club Resort), is currently being refurbished and is scheduled to re-open April 15, 2009.  Guests staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort will be allowed to use the feature pool at Disney's Boardwalk Resort during this time.

Good luck with your decision and have a great trip!
