Are there other places, such as the resorts, to see Christmas decorations.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sandy! I adore Walt Disney World at the holidays. They really go all out for Christmas, but the holiday spirit isn't just limited to the Theme Parks. The Resort hotels know how to deck their halls, too!

One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is visit the larger-than-life gingerbread creations that fill the air with the smells of Christmas at some of the Resort hotels. You'll find them at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn and, the granddaddy of them all, the gorgeous house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Plus, you can buy a yummy gingerbread shingle or a pin to commemorate your gingerbread tour.

The newly named Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney) is a wonderful spot for holiday shopping, treats and other Christmassy fun. The Disney Parks Blog recently announced some of the holiday activities going on this year, including three new Christmas trees, holiday-themed backdrops perfect for a photo opportunity, and the chance to meet Santa. Be sure to tell him the Disney Moms have been extra good this year!

There's so much going on at Christmas time, Sandy, I can't even list it all! Here are some more Walt Disney World holiday happenings for you to check out. I hope this gets your holiday planning off to a good start, and that you have a perfectly magical Disney Christmas.

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
