Hi there, Ammon! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney--I'm so glad you found us! When you're traveling to
Walt Disney World Resort and navigating medical devices too, it's always a good idea to have your (Donald) ducks in a row before arrival. Let's get to it and track down the information you're looking for.
In my experience (pediatric nurse here!), the batteries on portable concentrators won't get you through a long day in the theme parks. I definitely recommend asking your medical equipment supplier if you could have some additional batteries on a short-term basis for your trip and bringing as many as you can so you don't lose time in the parks waiting for charging.
There are outlets in many places in the theme parks and the Cast Members at those locations will help direct you to the best spots for charging. Restaurants tend to not have as many outlets, but if you make it clear that you are charging a medical device rather than a phone they will often make it possible to seat you somewhere where you can power up (or plug it in for you elsewhere while you eat).
All four theme parks and
Disney Springs also have
First Aid Centers staffed by nurses that are very helpful for Guests with medical needs. You will also likely be able to charge your battery here and take a break to cool off, as well as take care of any other needs that may come up during your vacation.
Ammon, I hope this information is helpful and that you can enjoy a safe and magical trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth this fall. If our planDisney squad can help with any other questions as your vacation approaches, please reach out anytime and we'll be happy to help!
See Ya Real Soon!
