Hi, Amanda!
During a visit to Walt Disney World, there is a lot of walking, a lot of sunshine, and lots of excitement so it is super important for each and every guest to take an easy pace and plenty of breaks. Here are some perfect ways for some down time during your vacation:
-Take mid-day breaks back at your resort. As the years go by, I find my siestas at my resort are getting longer and longer as my family enjoys the pools and relaxing in the sun. Hey, this is vacation, there's nothing wrong with some lounging!
-While in the parks, pop into a quick service dining location. Enjoy the air conditioning and a cozy chair. You can even ask for complimentary cups of ice water to keep hydrated.
-Plan for some longer attractions that give you some time off of your feet.
Carousel of Progress at the Magic Kingdom or
The American Adventure in Epcot are both great places to chill for a bit!
-Allow for plenty of rest. It is a great plan to be up at dawn and close the parks down at the end of the day, but you will find that after a day or 2 of that pace, "Happy" turns into "Grumpy" real quick so plan accordingly.
-If Grandma has a hard time walking for any length of time,
wheelchairs are available for rent.
I hope all of you find a perfect blend of rest and being on the go during your magical visit to Walt Disney World!
Cathy
