Hello, Sabrina, and welcome to
planDisney, we thank you for your excellent question!
It sounds as if you’re getting ready to visit during
The World’s Most Magical Celebration, you must be so excited! You’ll be able to navigate your way touring the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in comfort and greater ease whether you decide to
rent your scooter from Walt Disney World Resort or through a Featured Provider, or if you bring your own.
Sabrina, your battery charge should be stealthy for the day with a decent charge overnight since most scooters operate at a lower speed. In case you do need to charge your scooter, you are welcome to do so while dining at many
Walt Disney World Resort restaurants – there are typically outlets near the entrances or you can ask a Cast Member for directions. You can charge your scooter near a
Guest Relations location and near some
Walt Disney World Resort - Restrooms. Lastly, either ask a Cast Member, refer to your theme park guide paper map or the interactive map on your
My Disney Experience App for what we call the Relaxation Stations.
Relaxation Stations are typically enclosed areas or buildings which are not actively used for any formal purpose and where often a time, many Guests stop by for a brief break or to charge their devices. Some examples of Relaxation Stations are at Storybook Circus, Frontierland, and Tomorrowland Terrace at Magic Kingdom Park, Star Wars Launch Bay, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the Beauty and the Beast Pavilion area at Disney's Hollywood Studios. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park you can find Relaxation Stations at Pizzafari on Discovery Island, the Upcountry Landing area, and at EPCOT you can find a Relaxation Station outdoors at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop and near Mission Space in World Discovery, for example.
Sabrina, look through
Walt Disney World Resort’s – Services for Guests with Disabilities to focus on the resource for
Guests with Mobility Disabilities to learn about the unique accommodations and attraction access categories for Guests using ECVs/scooters which could add greater convenience to your visit.
Tips:When parking your scooter, it’s a good idea to remove the keys to help save battery life. Bring a rain poncho to cover your scooter in the event of rain if you are enjoying a meal or an attraction.
Sabrina, I hope this information is helpful and I wish you a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Best Disney Wishes!
Jacqueline
